This camera/toy is a really cool toy and I would highly recommend it for any child aged 7-14. This allows you to capture videos and digital images for about 4 minutes before downloading them to your computer. Now the resolution isn't that great, and the device's storage is limited to what you can store directly on it. So don't buy it assuming you'll have great video or digital image quality - it's a toy! The most interesting thing is the software that allows you to edit the recorded video. You can also add all sorts of things to the recorded scenes (waterfalls, highway traffic, etc.). You can add music, your own soundbytes, animated characters and all sorts of cool stuff. My kids are all 4 years old 10, 8, 6 and 4 years old play together to make movies, they all love this toy. My 8 year old got it for his birthday and he barely remembers holding down the record button while recording so I wouldn't recommend for kids under 7. The software is very easy to use. I had a lot of fun playing with it. Even our neighbor boy came and played with it and now he gets it for his birthday. 12.
