The best shoes I've ever had. I think it's some kind of alien tissue technology leak. 18 months later and they look brand new. I originally bought these as running shoes based on a review from a runner. That worked well, but then I switched to cycling. I removed the laces to eliminate the hazard of the chain and found that not only are they snug enough to ride without them, but I wear them all the time, run, workout, etc. without the laces. My doctor advised me to walk around the house in shoes instead of barefoot to relieve foot pain from plantar fasciitis. A week later the PAIN was gone. I'm a pilot and my uniform consists of classic black trousers and black shoes. I threw away my Ekko and now only wear these! (Hey, some surfaces have reflective strips!) These are literally my everyday shoes AND my uniform shoes. I tried to buy another pair 6 months ago to use exclusively with my uniform but they didn't belong to this SKU (style code and color: E91617H-4 black). I bought a slightly different pair but can't wear them without laces as the tongue doesn't close on all three sides. Back in stock I just bought another one from the E91617H but I don't need it yet! After 18 months they look great - I think I wiped them ONCE after they got dusty. I suspect when the new ones arrive I'll find the padding has shrunk (like I'm stepping on poop!) in my old ones, but they still feel great! Surprisingly great shoes! TO UPDATE. Compare new shoes to shoes that have been worn for 18 months. I just received my new pair of these sneakers to wear as a 'work only' pair. It feels like the sole cushioning on my used pair is about 50% that of a new pair. I certainly don't feel like they're completely worn out - I'll still wear my old ones when I'm not working. So if you like super fresh, you probably replace them every 18 months for up to 2 years.
