I use this cable to charge my MacBook Pro. Apple ships horrible cables with their MacBooks. I usually use one cable a year because the plastic coating around the end of the cable always wears out, although I don't overuse it and when they were hardwired it was quite expensive. Now that newer Macs have USB Type-C cables and the cable isn't hardwired to the transformer, I chose this cable considering a 100W power rating. And the right angle means it's parallel to the side of my laptop, so it's straight. Also, the longer length makes it more comfortable So far so good, actually better than the old one which seemed to overheat and shut down the Apple transformer after long continuous use. If it lasts longer than a year I will be very happy. So it's cheaper to replace.
