Well it works fine. I watch a small phorid fly (that's why I bought it) walking around the outside of the case, then going in, going back out, just having a good time walking around the unit and then flying away. Another walks around the table he is sitting at. Let's see what happens in a few days and nights. EDIT: After 3 days I caught 9 of these little phorid flies. You need something to get them in. But it works a little, so I'll raise my rating. FURTHER EDIT: That's sad. This morning I noticed that only 3 bugs were taped to the tube and a baby anole (a small lizard we have in Florida) was taped to the sticky pad. :-( He probably ate flies and then got stuck.
