Good for cooking, beautiful to look at and environmentally friendly
I love glassware. I use them for cooking, sometimes I also bake them in the oven. You are doing great. Bamboo lids are beautiful but have a very strange smell and even after three or four washes they still have a strange smell. They also flake a bit, the way tiny strands of bamboo come off when brushed with a nylon brush. The lids are a little tricky to clean as I remove the rubber seals so water doesn't stay in the seal and cause mold. They are not leak proof but will not spill unless tipped over. I haven't used it for soup or other liquids - wouldn't recommend it.
