We bought our son his first 10 gallon aquarium and were looking for an easier way to change the water rather than dumping it every time. I've come across several similar gravel cleaners, many of which were oversized and intended for large tanks. This set is of excellent quality and easy to use. I liked that it had three of the most commonly used products in one set with a siphon, seaweed scraper and fishing net and I loved it. What offer! The gravel cleaner is perfect for our needs. I wouldn't call this a professional "gravel cleaner" by any means, but it's perfect for beginners who love fish or those with a smaller tank (10-50 gallons). Contains two nozzles. The shorter extension is useful when you just want to drain the water. The longer extension is great for getting rid of all those nasty poops and anything that settles on your gravel or rocks. It was cool/disgusting to see all the stuff he sucked up! Now it's much easier to change the water, just a few pumps and the water will start flowing automatically, easy! Now about the net for fish. Well it's a net! It works and is perfect for our 10 gallon tank. It's about 12 inches long or so, so I don't think it's a good net for catching fish if you have a large aquarium. I think for something small to medium sized this would be a suitable net. As for the seaweed scraper, I wasn't planning on buying it but I'm so glad it came in the box! We noticed that a light green film of algae formed on the inside of the pane of our aquarium about a week after cleaning. This scraper does it right! We leave it "on" or in our tank and swish it back and forth a few times and it gets rid of the algae right away. Removal takes several passes, and a metal scraper will help remove some of the old stuff. Ultimately, this is a great tool for keeping your jar clean and a huge time saver! There is no substitute for cleaning the inside of the glass from time to time, but the scraper has definitely increased the time I have to clean the glass, Dad won! Overall great value for money but for the money we were able to get everything we needed in one purchase. Many Thanks.
