Review on Bic Single Blade Shavers Sensitive Skin - 12 ct (3 packs of 12): Superior Razors for Gentle Shaving by Heather Phillips

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Ok but product design updates needed

The advantages of this product are the price and the fact that it is a single blade disposable safety razor. Anyone prone to ingrown hairs prefers a single blade razor to a multi-blade razor for the simple reason that some of us have a problem with over-shaving. In any case, any loss of intimacy is imperceptible to the eye anyway, and my skin seems perfectly smooth after shaving. The second plus is of course the price. This is very advantageous, especially since many well-known brands do not offer disposable blades. Now for the cons. The blade head is in one piece of plastic which is too bulky. The profile needs to be thinner to maneuver in those tight spots, namely the nostril area. A razor-like profile with dual blades would be ideal. Also, the shaver does not come with a comfort strip. This product has been around for a very long time without a change in design. It's time to catch up. It's also about time the male population rebelled a little. We were bombarded with ads saying multiple blades are better. First there were two, then three, and now five Blades. There comes a point where there is no discernible gain, but a good marketing campaign can convince people of anything, I think it's their job after all. So, yes, if you need a single blade razor to cut off an ingrown hair this could be for you, but remember the feel and technique you're used to from a multi-blade razor , will be completely different with these razors . No panic; once or twice you get used to it.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Something different
