Review on πŸ”³ Monoprice 4U Wall Mount Bracket (108627), Black: 7(H) x 19(W) x 12(D) inches by Rob Clark

In general the design is good. The stand is very heavy and durable.

This rack mount was the first product of its kind that I worked with. It was very easy to install as there are only four mounting points. I installed it on a piece of plywood that was attached to the wall. Attached to it was a TPLINK 16-port gigabit switch, a Raxxess rackmount shelf, a TPLINK Mondem, a router, and my MITX Plex media server. In general the design is good. The stand feels very heavy and solid, I liked how the rear mounting holes let you push screws into the wall, mount and then tighten. Installation is greatly simplified considering the weight. Mounting the equipment in the rack wasn't difficult, but you have to be careful about which screws to tighten. The sides that are apart cause a slight flex, and if you don't tighten the star screws it will stay in flex. I also have an issue where the unit doesn't seem to be able to support the weight due to the back panel itself flexing a little outward from the wall. This is not a place of attachment, but the metal itself sags under the weight. Remember to add 45 degree braces for more support. All in all, this is a great device. Solid, heavy, served its purpose. A regular closed rack would have been better, but at this price you can't beat it. UPDATE 06/2019 ---- I have owned this device for about three years. He moved out of the apartment into my house and to three different places in my house. It still works perfectly and for the price I paid I think it's a great deal. I will upgrade to a better/bigger rack as soon as I run out of space. but you're welcome to buy it. The latest photos have also been uploaded.
