USE: I have an ugly white laminate ClosetMaid cabinet in my kitchen that does the job, but its sterile white color kills the 'home' vibe. After installing a new floor, I was looking for a new wooden cabinet to replace it. I couldn't find anything I liked with the same storage options that wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg. So I decided to try this stuff. APPLICATION: Mesh Backing (Metric), wood print runs perfectly parallel to sheet metal/mesh. It was forgiving in placement (can be lifted and re-glued for perfect alignment) and ran smoothly. Thin enough to get around hard edges with ease. Uses recommended Rust-Oleum Additional Flexible Smoothing Tool, cleaned surface to remove any surface grease/dust. This cabinet gets a lot of light/heat from the skylights in the kitchen and any vulnerable edges that are exposed to the sun have not yet peeled off. DURABILITY: I tested a few strips to see how durable this material is. You can wipe things with a damp cloth. Not very hard and can be scratched by a sharp edge/corner. Dragging a rough object across a surface can leave a scratch. Personally, I don't know if I would trust my countertops with this material, but I wouldn't be afraid to use this material on a little-used table or shelf/cabinet/door!
