Review on Baoding Chinese Health Exercise Stress by Brenda Joiner

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Affordable and soothing

When I first bought a pair of Baoding Spheres from the Chinese Pavilion at Epcot, they weren't just metal, they were glass on the outside. One of them snapped making it difficult to turn, so I bought them as a spare. I enjoy them very much! They can be difficult to spin at first (you can see me struggling a bit in the video, mostly because I use my left hand and usually spin with my right), but after a little practice it becomes addictive. I have what you might call "nervous hands" and I just love holding these things in my hands. The size was pretty good for my hands but I have pretty short fingers. So if you have big hands, consider a larger size. I did notice that one sphere is slightly larger than the other so I have to say the product is a bit inconsistent but it doesn't really affect much other than the sound. As for the sound, the tinkling of the bells inside is very pleasing, but someone might find the clinking and grinding of the outer metal sounding (the sound is similar to the sound of those buzzing magnet toys, but to a lesser extent), but I honestly enjoy that and it doesn't bother me. The outer metal appears to tarnish over time, but this shouldn't affect the quality of the balls. If that bothers you anyway, they're affordable enough to buy another pair. As many have noted, the box isn't the best quality, but it holds up well. The delivery was fast and the package arrived undamaged. Overall I'm very happy with these :)
