I think it's pretty cool so far. I haven't read the instructions, but it's pretty simple: you put on the antenna, press the power button, then play with the sensitivity slider. You start with a high setting that decreases as you get closer to the RF source. I started testing it using a known source like wifi or cellphone. I did this to make sure I got a feel for it. I'll say something to keep in mind, there are many things that emit RF energy that we forget. When I first started playing with it, it happened to work if I brought it close to the center. I had no cell phone and no electronics. I started taking things out of my pockets and checking them piece by piece. When I finally pulled out my key fob, it dawned on me that it was my car key that was sending a signal to the car, telling it to open the door and start the engine. Of course, when I brought the key fob near the device, it caught fire. I doubt I'll ever find a fault in it, but it's pretty cool (when the time machine happens to show up with a ten-year-old version of me). he would definitely approve of this thing (or maybe just brag about having a time machine)).
