Nicely packaged in a representative box as advertised. The locking mechanism works well when you wear it. Simply slip the end of the belt into the buckle and slide it to your waist. When you want to take off the belt, push down the small lever to unlock/release the locking mechanism and you can pull belt out. Very simple but working concept. I've tried pulling hard without lowering the level to verify this and the strap doesn't come loose so this locking mechanism works great. Note that the groove is only about 10-12 inches long as shown in the last picture. Therefore, you should immediately order the right length that suits you. Technically I can see you can cut it but that doesn't give a good finish and when you cut it the groove doesn't go deep into the strap so you can't snap it. I'll give you my example; my waist is 34 inches and i am ordering a 34-36 inch belt. I only have about 1 inch of groove left when I put it in. So I suggest if your waist is between 35-36 inch, please choose 36-39 inch, it will fit you better with some pants. In terms of quality the leather is soft and comfortable and the black matte finish on the buckle gives it a modern look and I love this design it looks expensive.
