Review on 🎙️ Saramonic Blink500 B4 Wireless Lavalier Microphone System with Twin Microphone Tramsmitters & Dual-Channel MFi Certified Lightning Connector Receiver for iPhone iPad by Roger Weinmunson

This is an update of my first review. The product works great once you get the key, the missing step from the instructions. I couldn't get the blue light on the receiver to work, so the pairing instructions didn't work. I sent the unit back to Revain for an exchange, assuming I received a lemon. I had the same issue with a replacement but when I tried to get it to work the blue light came on. I tried to see what had happened and it went off again. After playing around with the iPhone, I found that the iPhone needs to be in camera mode for the RX light to work. Once I figured it out, it worked like a charm. Just turn on the camera, connect the RX to the phone, turn on the TX (I don't think the order matters) and start recording. Very easy! I tested the sound quality of the iPhone's built-in microphone, TX microphone and TX lavalier. The iPhone's microphone was the loudest, but picked up ambient noise and sounded a bit tinny. That's when I talked about it while shooting the video. In my experience, once the speaker is some distance away, the sound cuts off quickly and gets muffled with a lot of noise. Both TX and TX with lavalier mics delivered good sound quality. The buttonhole might have been a little better, but in a pinch it should work with the TX. I've always been within 20 feet of the iPhone, so I've yet to test the range. I also don't know how well they work with a lot of ambient noise like wind or traffic, but I'm sure the sound quality will be better than the iPhone mic. I only increased my rating to 4 stars because the instructions are left over from an important step that took me a lot of time. If they correct the instructions in their YouTube video and written instructions my score would be 5.
