I love the look of leather and this everyday bag is top notch for me. Although not made from the finest leather, it is still well made from high quality cowhide leather, making it strong and durable. The body of the zipper puller is made of metal, the pull tabs are made of leather and the chain is made of plastic and are very well made. 1-1/2" canvas strap with leather accent, non-detachable, sewn into the bottom and top of the bag with a heavy duty plastic clasp approximately 12" from the bottom half of the strap. The natural curve of the bag allows it to be worn either (in front of the body) or (directly behind the body). There's also a full-length zip fastening to the bag, allowing you to pack even more stuff inside. The leather has scratches but can be easily buffed with your fingers to remove them but I love my scratches which add character to the bag. not suitable for modern smartphones, but if you use a clamshell phone, it works like a cigarette pack with a lighter. in their opinion an expensive Billingham Tan SP50 leather shoulder pad for 2 inch shoulder straps. Also note that overstuffing a leather case will cause the leather to stretch and bulge, which can cause permanent eye pain and also lead to premature failure of zipper components.
