I wear size 34 trousers and ordered a 28-30 inch belt. It fits exactly what I wanted. Too long so I went smaller when ordering this belt. I might have been ok with the next size up. I love the elastic straps for walking and hiking. They hold my pants without drawstrings at the waist over my hips.
