I have bought these caps several times but switched to them after some thorough research. If you look closely, you're buying a brand name and then a little more. Yes, they have no taste/aftertaste/odor, aren't as big as others, don't melt, and are easy to eat. So they basically cover the minor. Why are you taking fish oil? Do you take it for any of these reasons? no They confuse it with omega-3 fatty acids. Or more specifically EPA and DHA. You only have 300 mg in total. This is a very low dose. According to the American Heart Association, you need to take 1,000 mg to get the full benefits of omega-3 fatty acids. So triple your daily dose and they suddenly become significantly more expensive. The supplement facts also don't break down how much of 300 mg EPA and how much of DHA. Ideally you'd want to get closer to a 2:1 ratio if you can find it, but since it's not revealed (now remember, I'm just speculating here because it's not shown) it's probably closer to 1:1 If it was a good/ideal ratio, it would make sense from a marketing perspective to show it, right? Last but not least… yes, this fish oil is mercury free. But what you really need is molecular distillation to remove all impurities, not just heavy metals. Hope that helps!
