nice rustic vintage look

After weeks of looking for a new bedroom set, I kept looking at this one. I wanted to change from always blue in the bedroom. Too many reviews were negative and I don't understand why. It's a pretty floral print on a tea stain, the flowers are cranberry to purple (remember purple?), white and brown, and the leaves are two shades of light and dark olive green. Cranberry Cream Plaid. This is a light duvet, but in the winter I always use a light duvet underneath. I love that it comes with a matching bed skirt. Some quilts don't even come with matching lining. It has jobs. The covers are beautiful, printed on one side and back, all checked, with pleated ruffles and hidden zippers that I had to look for. The plaid trim is around the bedspread. Some complained about protruding threads? I found one, but then I'm a sewer, and those who sew know thread happens. My 40 year old solid cherry wood bedroom set looks perfect with this color combination. I haven't washed it yet, but when I do it will be cold water and a cup of vinegar. A quilt seller once told me that vinegar, for the first time, helps set the dyes on the quilt. So if, like me, you're ready for change, I don't think you'll be dissatisfied. It comes well packaged and the bed skirt may need a little ironing, but not much.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Minor issues
