I bought this camera because it had 10,000 reviews, mostly positive. Now I'm wondering how it got so many positive reviews considering it has a major flaw that makes it almost unusable. This camera is said to come with two batteries so they can be swapped out when out in the field. The BIGGEST problem with this camera is that the time and date reset and change to "01/01/2018 at 12:00" every time the battery is changed or running low. The problem is that the naming convention for each image is based on date and time. So if you change batteries in the middle of a project, the image names will start over and be out of order. This makes a time lapse project impossible as you may have 2000 random images. Also, the date and time in each picture's Exif data is incorrect, so you can never tell exactly when your pictures were taken. If you look at other user reviews, you will see that many people are complaining about this problem. The "workaround" is to manually enter the date/time every time you change the battery, but this is highly impractical when you're in the middle of a project. . And if you forget this step, the final project's captions will be a mess. I am returning this camera. This is disappointing as it otherwise works well. I recommend you not to buy until this issue is resolved.
