This is a nice wraparound design that is good for car or bike riding. However, in the past, when the hinged "arms" were short enough to touch the inner surface of the lenses, they eventually developed scratches that caused the image to wash out. That hasn't happened yet, and it's possible that the plastic coating on the lenses is a lot harder than the plastic on the ends of the 'arms', but I'd prefer they didn't touch at all when folded.
