I didn't realize you had to charge this before using it as the instructions don't explain it. After fully charged, unplug the power cord and you can use it. I found the same device cheaper on EBay but didn't want to wait two months for delivery. It comes with reusable/washable filter pads that can be used again and again after washing. I haven't washed the insoles yet. That way I can review the upgrades later if washing messes them up. It works well. I like different nozzles. I would recommend. It takes >10 min time to warm up once the heat is on, that's great.
