Honestly, nothing comes easy when dealing with king-size mattresses. They are heavy and bulky. That's enough for my use. I stuffed the mattress into my bag. I sucked for about 30 minutes and decided it was enough for my purposes. Once I got it to a size I thought would work, I wrapped it with ratchet straps to keep it from tearing. I suspect it would have drained more if I just kept walking, but I didn't need it to be very small. I had to get it to size and condition so I could move it. doing a mega-mattress flip (like the exercise where you flip giant hoops) onto a ladder and letting it slide down. I was amazed at how easily and gently he glided down the stairs. This is probably another benefit of having it in a plastic bag. All in all, it's bloody amazing. Worth every penny for the m I use. I have a feeling you could store it the same way if you wrapped it in plastic to keep the air out and secured it with tight ratchet straps.
