I am going to class soon and wanted something that would protect my MacBook while I work and also cover some of the stickers I put on the top of the computer which were sentimental. Value. This case works great. There is a matte marble laptop sleeve at the top and a separate white piece at the bottom with vents (although my laptop doesn't have a fan at the bottom). I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package to see that not only the two case pieces and the keyboard cover were included, but also illustrated instructions on how to attach and remove the pieces, as well as a laptop screen protector and four more adhesive pads for the case back (apply if necessary). one of the attached ones is now breaking or falling off) The case was very easy to attach and easy to take off when needed. It would be difficult to accidentally remove the case unless it falls at a very unusual angle I think. The case isn't fully opaque - I can see the Apple logo glowing - but it certainly covers all the stickers on my laptop. I also get the full range of motion of the hinge (look at a phone case I bought in an accessory) and the colors of the two devices don't match, but that could just be because the phone case is very shiny and the laptop sleeve definitely is frosted. There's also a very small white signature on the bottom corner of the laptop's hinge, but it doesn't spoil the look or distract in any way. It doesn't add much weight to the computer, although I do feel a small difference when I weigh it and I'm sure I'll get used to it in a few days. like distracting patterns on my keyboard). This may simply be because I've never used an Apple laptop keyboard cover and the extra resistance seems odd, but the keyboard cover also has dirty fingerprints that are easily visible. I think it might be that I didn't clean the keys well enough before putting the lid on, so I might try again. I haven't applied the screen protector that comes with the kit yet, but when I hold it to the screen it feels like a millimeter less in each direction. It shouldn't affect it much, but it might drive some people's perfectionism crazy (me included!). I don't expect it to last forever but it would be nice to see it wear off after a year or so. It seems solid enough if you don't regularly drop or hit your laptop. Numerous photos are attached and for clarity this has been applied to my 13" MacBook Air Model A1466.
