The plastic handle here is already wrapped in pigskin, 3/16 inch thickness is an advantage for me. I love both CC4 and CC3 but the fact that we have to be extremely careful is a disadvantage even for this 76 year old. I have already made small wooden holding platforms to hold the stones, but I needed one that could be easily attached to the scabbard. I never want to be without a sharpening option and this is perfect. I'm going to make a small sheath and attach it to the back of the knife sheath. It also works great and gets even better with age.
