The light is very bright and has good battery life (considering I have to hide it from my friend's kid and pretend it's "broken" so the light doesn't shine directly on my face all day directed. Very impressive battery life). ALSO amber. When I saw amber I thought: beautiful golden light. Like an old style lightbulb. no It's basically a red-orange, traffic cone, almost orange Halloween candy. Which isn't the most readable. Or by repeatedly poking you in the eye, like interrogating a small child. (Just a word of warning. Seems to be an AMAZING TOY.) That said, it was a good price and it actually stays attached to things decently without spontaneously falling off like most things with clips and blackout. So I'm sure I'll use it for something. If I ever "fix" it.
