The surface provides a very stable glide that appears to be quite moisture and temperature resistant. It has a rough texture that some might not find that comfortable as they are made of regular fabric pads. Although personally I really like the surface roughness because in my experience with other mouse pads this roughness contributes to their uniformity and durability and that is why this is a hybrid mouse pad. also adds to the hybrid feel and consistency, especially if you're using mice with smaller skates, as they won't sink into this cushion unless you press hard enough. The edges are not as sharp as unstitched rugs, nor are they jagged like many sewn rugs, as they conform to the Strider's surface 99% of the time. At 450mm x 400mm they are the same size as most mouse pads from other major brands. I personally wish there was a slightly larger square version with more height around $35, although that's not a problem at all unless you're using a VERY low sensitivity. The stickiness of the gum base depends on the table. I have no problems with mine and you can always spray a small amount of water on the table or use thin double sided tape if you have problems with yours. The Razer logo doesn't bother at all. Very well made and placed. So far it's about a 9-9.5/10 for me, this is the best pad I've used and I've used about 10 other pads.
