This blanket is amazing. I went down the rabbit hole of blankets after overheating with my cotton. Down comforters have been banned for allergy reasons and for humane reasons (removing live ducks/geese while they are screaming). Cotton didn't work. Silk is light, contains no allergens and has an antimicrobial effect. This quilt has an excellent silk fill ratio. None of the "silk filling" with "***50% cotton filling" hides anywhere else. It looks silky. Luxurious and much cooler, but warmer than cotton in cold weather. He will accompany me on trips. We also have wool. The main difference is the weight. Go for wool if you want heavy weight. Otherwise, silk retains heat.
