Review on Monoprice Flush Type 3.5mm Stereo Keystone Jack (White) - Improved SEO! by Ron Turner

Stereo routing with fewer parts!

Everything in my current setup runs on 1/8" stereo cables and jacks, so I didn't want to complicate things by running speaker wire and crimping the jacks. This allowed me to use a pre-made 15 foot stereo interconnect cable, to route audio from the source room end to the speaker room end through the basement.Apart from the negative aesthetic of running cables in the room itself, it would also mean running cables through one of the two thresholds that normal foot traffic passes through (a big no-no in terms of security).next to HDMI keystones in the same wall panels for a simple and clean look.A satisfying click is heard when the cable is plugged in (it takes a bit of force, so don't be alarmed ).The white plastic capstone goes well with most white wall panels.Be careful not to use it with RCA jacks despite its appearance (this shouldn't damage it as RCA pins are shorter than stereo pins, but better safe than sorry).

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
