Santa gave my nine year old daughter this fish tank on Christmas morning. The beginner's aquarium is perfect for your room. Both my husband and I have had large fish tanks before so we thought this would be great for our baby. We've had nothing but problem after problem with him. After changing the battery several times, the light went out. The filter is EXTREMELY temperamental, makes noise when the level is off, causes heavy bubbles. Replacement filter bags must be replaced every 2 weeks. After a couple of late night trips to replace fish from the store after we found them swimming. I'm not sure if the problems are tank related or if the neon bricks are the cause, but we didn't have any success with this Doom tank. There's no way she can overfeed them and he's in the kitchen right now so I can keep an eye on the aquarium. All in all, I do NOT recommend this tank! Just go to the pet store and buy what you need there. This tank is too finicky and just plain confusing!
