I just got an external monitor so I wanted to elevate my laptop a bit to get it closer to my line of sight. This laptop stand did just that by raising it to eye level, and it's solid! I also prefer these laptop stands because there is a hole in the middle for air to circulate. Imo, my laptop's fan has gotten noticeably quieter since I've been using it, and I think the outside air helped a lot!
