Bought for less conventional purposes, this excellent mirror perfectly met my needs as an intermediate platform (after being removed from the base) for photo and video shooting of small objects, particularly the precise tops in my case. The large diameter offers plenty of space for close-ups and full-frame shots without having to get too close to the subject; Conversely, it's also large enough to hold multiple items. The optical quality of the mirror is very good, this also applies to the concave magnification side where cheaper mirrors often have distortions on the outer perimeter. Additionally, the concave mirror appears to be held firmly in the frame without buckling under the weight of the heavier lid that wraps around it. For some of my tops that weigh over 1 pound, this mirror provides the space I need for a nice, well-controlled run over extended spin times. The only thing I could wish for from this mirror would be a discounted option to just buy the framed mirror, not a pedestal stand that I would just throw away.
