I was determined to purchase one of several options offered by this manufacturer because they offer solid wood instead of potentially toxic particle board and don't include synthetic carpeting which can contain all sorts of unwanted chemicals. I can only say good things about the quality and ease of installation. The reason I gave it three stars instead of five is because my two cats have trouble finding a good climb path and finding a good foothold in a bare tree. In addition, there are no good landing sites for the descent. I think it would be better if a platform in the middle was bigger. Perhaps the problems mentioned are due to the fact that both of my cats are large and unusually long. At 17 months, the male weighs 14 pounds and the female 13 pounds and they are not overweight. They're expert climbers in the sense that they're fed four times a day on platforms on 6ft monkey bars, so it's not because they lack strength or dexterity, but they seem less proficient on shorter stretches of wood. Hope they get better with time. Editing after two months. So I would like to report that my cats love it but unfortunately they ignore it. Too bad I don't know what to do to pique her interest. I'll find something to put on the wooden platforms that will make them less slippery and give the cats something to dig their claws into. Hope this can help.
