Hold on very tight!
I am a college student who bought these shelves to free up space in my closet in my room. I was skeptical at first, but with a little help I closed it tightly - and stored my containers, food jars and various groceries there for months without any problems. They didn't move! They're a bit narrow for putting things on, but it's absolutely better than nothing!
