I bought this for my older dog whose leg strength isn't as strong as it used to be so he has trouble balancing when we drive. He never likes to sit on car rides unless I'm putting his dog bed in the car (which was a hassle carrying it back and forth) so I bought this one and he's happy with it. The only thing I wish the backrest was a bit longer and had a strap that wraps around the headrest. I had to tuck the corners into the back seat as you can see in the photos. On the whole he seems comfortable and content with it and gets used to it almost immediately.
