Cheap LED strips.
I have a golf cart that has turn signals that don't turn off automatically. I kept forgetting to turn them off. The indicator light is a tiny LED in an equally small multifunction instrument. I attached these strips to the vertical bars of the roof frame. Now I remember that the turn signal is on. As an added bonus, they are also visible from behind, so someone following them can see them. They could be used for anything including a trailer and the like. 3M glue is quite sticky.
