The store recommends buying 2 sizes larger, but it seemed excessive. My canvas shoes always fit my feet so I bought my daughter a size up but they were too big. I would only recommend my kids to take their normal shoe size and then exchange them if they don't fit. My daughters are very small, so I didn't care if the shoes fit her or not. after all she still wears her church slippers to dance lol. But maybe the size problem is a godsend! The quality of the shoes is fantastic, albeit a little then you can tighten the threads. I liked the shoes and I think they are just right! The price is fantastic and so is the quality.
