Hardly works. This only works when 3ds xl is closed and I know 3ds is not the problem because my other chargers work. Here are the conditions I found: with socket closed 3ds = charge light on and charge rate 0.19a. With outlet 3ds open = no charge indicator, no battery indicator on main screen and still 0.19a charge rate (where the heck do amps go when 3ds doesn't detect flow?) With outlet and not connected to 3ds = speed booster down to 0.00 and found this also true with the visual difference in amp speed with the portable battery pack and my laptop. These unbranded cables always suck but usually you use them before they die in about 6 months but this one is brand new.
