The mount is very strong and probably handy to mount a CCTV camera or similar. It's less useful as part of a general kit. I have a lot of adapters, spigots, clamps, all kinds of ways to mount brackets for cameras and lights. I managed to get the 1/4" screw out of the bottom of the wall mount, but the hole is so small I can't fit it into anything else. I'm sure the manufacturer does it on purpose: if you want a lot of options, buy all of them I'd rather mix and match.
