First of all, I would like to mention that this box is very thin, and as a valued reviewer remarked, the Little Hazel Hare cannot simply return to the box. It may be a toy, but it needs to be handled with care. I have a rule in my house that every child (4, 3 and 9 months old) gets a Christmas present from Santa, and that special present has to be something special. an elf might do in a toy store. This jack-in-the-box was what Santa got our little girl for her first Christmas and ended up becoming a favorite with all the kids in our home. The bunny is cute and soft and the pictures on the box are beautiful, as is the cute book it is based on. It's a LITTLE tricky to make sure the latch that keeps the box closed is in the right position to hold the spring. open it too soon, but no rocket science. Children need help with this and we just need to keep it out of reach when they are not supervising to keep it a valuable item. The Jack is out of the box and smooth, but I didn't notice any issues with the quality of the tune. Anyway, it was everything we wanted and I would recommend it if you are looking for a gift for a new parent. or grandparents, a family Easter gift, a book for lovers of classic children's literature or as a special gift for children 💚
