This is a good everyday belt. However, only by accident. It's too thick to go well with dress pants. I ordered the 34 inch suede pants and they fit well. It's best to be honest with yourself and go up a size when choosing your next pant size, as belt holes can be unforgiving. Sometimes I wear 36 inches. and I probably should have gone a size up but I can close it comfortably enough in the last hole. The quality seems right for the price. There was a thread sticking out next to the buckle, but that was purely a cosmetic issue, not a quality issue that could be fixed with a quick snip.
