Questionable claims and oily finish

The cream spreads and spreads very well, although I would like it to be unscented (as the scent can be irritating/sensitizing). Luckily the smell doesn't last long. Once applied to the skin it really doesn't absorb very well leaving a very greasy finish. If you wear it to sleep, this might not be a big problem for you. But if you sleep on your side then it can easily rub off onto your pillowcase. I don't think people with oily skin would appreciate it either, but it's ok for my dry skin. The cream claims to contain 2.5% retinol, but I haven't experienced any of the usual side effects of using retinol, so I doubt its effectiveness. this formula. When formulated incorrectly, retinol can be unstable. I usually use 1% retinol and even this formula works for me. So if there is retinol in this cream, it's not very effective in my opinion. Another thing I found odd is that the front of the jar says the cream contains retinol, hyaluronic acid, vitamins C and E. Although no vitamin C/vitamin C derivative is listed in the ingredients, hyaluronic acid is not listed. Only retinol and vitamin E (tocopherol) are listed. Overall I think this is a pretty good formula with some good ingredients and herbal extracts although I don't think the product lives up to its advertisement. I will continue to use it as a body moisturizer due to the oily finish.
