I seem to have worn the same duvet on my bed for years so I was excited to try the Deny Designs cotton duvet which also comes with a pair of matching pillowcases. (It's not entirely clear from the description that the pillowcases are included, so they were a nice surprise bonus!) I loved the duvet straight out of the box. The indigo herringbone pattern is cute and the matching pillowcases are the same pattern just in a smaller size. So it's obvious that they match, but it's kind of funny that they don't exactly match. And the back of the blanket is white, so if I get bored of the printed side, I can turn it inside out for a change. The color is a little more purple than I expected in some light, more than blue. But since I think indigo is somewhere between blue and purple in color scheme, it actually makes sense! The duvet and pillowcases were a bit itchy right out of their lovely ziplocked clear plastic container, so I washed them. and then dried them on low and that did it. I am very happy with how they are feeling now. And I like that they're made of cotton, so they're breathable. This kit only has two minor issues. First, the blanket is pretty light. I live in Southern California so I'm fine year round. And I tend to sleep fairly warm, so I like a light duvet. But if I lived in a colder climate I would probably need an extra blanket in the winter. And second, it seems a bit small for a king size. I have a full size (standard) mattress so I was expecting the comforter on my bed to be a little big, but it isn't. I think this will still work on the queen, but won't add much additional coverage, so to speak. Therefore, you can increase the size when ordering if you want the blanket to be larger. All in all, despite the two limitations above, this is a really nice lightweight cotton duvet with matching pillowcases.
