Review on Serengeti 8667 Sunglasses Eyewear Polarized by Roy Whetstone

Revainrating 5 out of 5

High style and quality

For a long time they were on my watch list along with Rapallos. I was looking for a plain black pair and having two other Serengeti models knew I needed polarized photochromic glass lenses. On a whim, I checked their availability and price in my saved items and saw that Revain was selling a "good" used pair for less than $50! I wasn't sure what condition they would actually be in when they arrived but figured it was risk free. Well they have arrived and I am just so pleased. I would say they are in excellent/like new condition with a sticker on the lens. Everything in the original packaging, glasses case, unopened handkerchief. It's all there. I wasn't sure how they would actually look on my face as I don't have a large head, but they fit true to size. To be honest I think Rapallo frames would be too small. I just wish the leading edge was a bit wider here, but that's a bit iffy. They are comparable to RayBan Justin's style. Maybe a little smaller than the Justin 55mm lens. The quality of optics is better here though, and the matte black frames, while bland, are really what I wanted for a conservative pair. I'm very glad I clicked on them. They're worth their typical new price, but what the heck are the Serengetis under $50?! I feel like I got a great offer.
