I bought a jacket from the same brand and both were fantastic. It was my first time skiing/snowboarding and these pants were comfortable, warm, waterproof and durable. I have fallen many times and have never been afraid of the quality. I got the XL based on the reviews for a comfortable fit. I'm 5'3", 170 lbs but thicker from the hips down and I was very comfortable. They weren't too tight and I had enough room to pull them over them and I had no problems getting one either wear leggings underneath.
