The lighting in my 1997 F-150 is mottled and mottled
These replacement bulbs fit the sockets perfectly, but the way they glow is very different from incandescent bulbs. They emit most of the light straight ahead rather than to the sides, creating patches of more light and relative darkness between the bulbs. I can still read all the numbers, some are just darker. Not much for my 22 year old truck but for a more expensive car it would be unacceptable. Also, I had the same issue as another reviewer where the red "blank" line on the gas meter is not visible under this light. Not a big problem if you don't like to be out and about at night.
