Unit works fine but only 1200w. Honestly I prefer 1200w because that's what we use in our island inverter shack. It's strong enough to fry or boil. Beans or rice will cook even on the lowest power level of 200W if you first boil it at 800-1200W and then turn it off. If you use the 200w setting it will turn on at 400w for a few seconds and then turn off for a few seconds. The timer is good too, just set it and after the right amount of time the device turns off. Noisy, the fan inside is a bit annoying. The manufacturer used existing 1200W units and simply reprogrammed the display. Lowered rating due to false advertising and the device is good.
