It's a bit intimidating to fit in as 1st (flat and hard) Good thing you can reinstall indefinitely until it all messes up. The fit wasn't quite right, and all we did was dunk it back in hot water and refit it (as opposed to the sports protector - the only chance) - even the side that wasn't properly shaped. Hard to screw up - just make sure your kids back molars are covered with a protective case. These were usually loops. So far we are very satisfied. The material is hard but takes the shape of the teeth so it definitely won't fall off the top teeth. My 10 year old said it was comfortable with no problems. It's new so we can't tell you how long it will last, but I'll update if there are any problems.
