Review on πŸŽ’ Discover Shimoda Starter Backpacks for Small Units by Kim Bell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent bag. Better than F-Stop Anja, but Shimoda's "customer service " is terrible.

Overall I think this is a great camera bag with a few flaws. The ICU is thinner and easier to control than the thicker ICU F-Stop. However, I believe that the Shimoda block would have benefited from being about 1/4 inch shorter (less high) and a bit more flexible as it would make the ICU a bit more flexible. The shoulder straps are great and very comfortable. They are a little bothersome when using the Peak Design Capture Clip, given the width and thickness of the strap combined with the clip's placement in a comfortable position. I'm 1.80m tall and my torso is longer than my legs, maybe that's why. I tested it well on an 8 day hike and was able to carry all my gear fairly well - full frame DSLR, 24 inch camera. 120, a sleeping bag, a piece of clothing and various small items such as a charger, a tripod, an intervalometer, a few filters and a cloth. It certainly manages all the cameras I need for day trips and travel.
