Review on 🎧 Linsoul TIN HiFi T3 Premium Hybrid Driver In-Ear Earphones - Single Knowles BA + Single PU+PEK Dynamic, CNC-Machined Metal Design, Detachable Gold-Plated OFC SPC MMCX Cables by Teresa Becker

Good IEMs are hampered by usability issues.

First of all, the bass is not 'neutral', it just isn't enough. If you use the EQ by rolling out the treble, you can turn up the volume to get a feel for the bass, otherwise the sub-bass isn't particularly present. The mids are phenomenal. The wire, as we have seen, has received a lot of praise. But loose weaving on the part of the hooks that has the shrink wrap will cause the ear to overheat as the weight pulls down making it worse. It's very uneven around the ear hooks, so not very comfortable. Making it thinner or adding layers of shrink wrap to make the cable rounder in that area instead of becoming lumpy would help a lot. The rest of the cable and its construction is fantastic. The problem is the non-angled MMCX connector. Due to the way of wearing, part of the hook of the cable protrudes from the temple area, which is not ergonomic. All these companies that don't make angled connector interfaces have gone insane, just an industry problem, and not so much this IEM, but its contribution to terrible aesthetics, ergonomics and the like. The MMCX interface itself is insane, meaning the connections are mega strong, almost too strong to be unplugged with bare hands at times. There's no need for such a tight connection, but at least they don't rotate easily, so that has an advantage. The stems of the IEMs themselves are too short for a deep introduction, companies need to start releasing more IEMs with longer stems (see Kanas Moondrop Pro for example). The recently released Tin P1s also have this problem, which is an indication that Tin isn't learning from its mistakes in this part. Comfort with them is simply impossible, so they don't seem as stable as one would imagine. It's so bad that sometimes I can smell it when I wear them for the first time. I let them breathe and roast in the sun for days and they never got rid of that horrible smell. Just get a few decorating tips and you'll be spot on. That being said, do they work well when you EQ them and can you even enjoy them in their standard form when playing at high frequencies? I myself like neutral tones and don't really like bass, but as mentioned, they were pretty anemic even for me. But the biggest issues were the ones I talked about related to comfort due to the poorly thought out design. Definitely overrated.

Pros
  • Useful for more than its intended purpose
Cons
  • Sad packaging
