Review on Storage Basket Organizer Decorative Container by Ian Iknokinok

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Assembly required, should be easier to assemble at this price point.

First of all, this box is supplied unassembled. You need to turn 5 different sides (including the bottom). This would be a lot easier if holes were pre-drilled on each side of wood so people can be sure to line up the sides evenly/level. And in this price range, they probably should be. Anyhow, only the entry points on the "outer" sides/corners are pre-drilled, so you need to make sure the receiving plate is aligned with the corners before screwing it in. (You may want to hand-tighten the top and bottom screws on each side, and then drill through the middle screws to save time.) The wood itself is very light and soft, almost balsa-like (which it actually might be), so it is pretty simple screw. It can also affect the overall strength of the box, but for my purposes it should be sufficient, especially since you have four screws on each corner/side. were returned earlier. It really did look like new and at this price I'm happy with the assembly requirements and the finished product. For $30 I would like all the holes to be pre-drilled. But at least it's real wood and looks decent, and every other wooden box I've seen online was even bigger. PS: In the box are plastic dowels and metal screws. I ignored the dowels and just used wood screws as using the dowels with a heavier bit would have required even more pilot drilling in the unprepared sides and could easily ruin those sides. To be honest I'm not sure why these dowels are even included. The instructions don't mention them (or pilot holes) at all.
