I needed two COMFORTABLE comforters for year round use (we live in Florida it gets cold in the winter and can be chilly in the summer due to the air conditioning) something that would be attractive and easy to wash. It says wash in delicate cold water and cool to medium temperature to dry. hold up well. They lie down on the bed the dog is lying in at night, so dog toenails weren't a problem because this particular dog rolls about 10 times before lying down and scratches the covers every night to get comfortable. The person in this bed is also rude to the sheets, often piling them up and/or throwing them on the floor in the morning. Hence the frequent washing and abuse - and they hold on. I am very happy. I've had about two months so about 16 washes and they still look and feel great. I don't expect them to last a full year but that's why I bought them at such a good price. Not many blankets look super great after hundreds of washes and I expect they will be gone in a year. I'm still happy with this purchase. If the price goes up (I bought the $38 TWIN twin pack) I probably won't buy again. They're good but expendable when I accidentally destroy them with a rough wash, which I think is necessary given their use. I need affordable and relatively durable. So far, so good.
